Tiffany and Jack

I met up with Tiffany and Jack in Metamora to shoot their engagement session. Tiffany's parents have a stunning piece of property. A great place for a country setting. Tiffany and Jack brought their two dogs, which made it even better. After we were rained out in previous attempts, the weather rewarded us with a nice evening. I can't wait until their wedding now, because they are so relaxed and laid back. After all, Jack is a native Californian. See you guys very soon! Here are some previews:

Kelly and Matt

For the second Saturday in a row, we had the pleasure of capturing someone's wedding at the Thomas Edison Inn, located in Port Huron. Kelly and Matt were so laid back and relaxing to be around. They had a gorgeous ceremony on the patio overlooking the bluewater bridge. Other than being "politely" told to leave certain areas of the property, we had a great time getting a bunch of fun pictures! At the reception, the dancing was stellar!! They had one of the longer "dance canals" we've seen in a while and had a really good time with their friends and family. As a side note, they had really great DJ's if anyone is looking for one. They were also a husband/wife team who were super friendly and did a great job. I have their information if needed. Here are some previews of their day:

Corey and Jason

They were married under the Blue Water bridge in Port Huron. We had a lot of fun with them on their wedding day! They lucked out and the rain stopped in the morning in time for everything to dry up for their outdoor ceremony. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. Corey and Jason really went all out for their guests and did a great job creating a beautiful atmosphere. Every last detail was in thought out (My personal favorite was the espresso bar on the veranda). The Edison Inn is a great venue with a nice view of the bridge and water. Here are a couple previews of the day:

AFTERMATH by Joel Meyerowitz

AFTERMATH by Joel Meyerowitz

I purchased an amazing book today. It was released to coincide with the fifth anniversary of 9/11. The book is a photographic journal of the days following that tragic day. Joel meyerowitz was the only photographer granted continous access to the ground zero site. The book itself is huge and contains almost entirely pictures. Do yourself a favor and at least go check it out at your local bookstore.

Kristin and John

Sara and I traveled to Put-In-Bay, Ohio to have the engagement session of Kristin and John. They are great people and were so welcoming. They knew all of these little spots on the island that most people wouldn't know since they live on the island. We were even lucky enough to capture 5 minutes of a beautiful sunset. It was cloudy and not very condusive for a nice sunset, but we held out just in case. It was definitely worth the wait! The clouds split and we got a gorgeous sunset. VERY LUCKY! Thanks again guys for the hospitality!!

Labor Day Weekend

I hope that everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend as the end of summer is here. We had a great weekend as we went to the Detroit Jazz Festival, in dowtown Detroit, on Sunday and then to Arts,Beats and Eats, in downtown Pontiac, on Monday. During the Jazz festival we were there during a taping for the food network. It was a contest to see who can make the best cake. The cakes were sweet! (..bad pun, i know) i have put up a few pics of them and of the festivities. At arts, beats and eats, our favorite booth was of two artists who design and create metal furniture. We found it to be very artistic, modern and it's functional! Here is their website. Check out their website! We would definitely recommend both events to everyone next year.

Jenny and Kent

They were married on the campus of The University of Michigan. The reception was also there in the beautiful ballroom. What a great couple! It was such a fun day. The guys had their pictures taken at the Big House (football stadium), which was really really cool. I even snuck in a picture of myself on the 50 yard line(thanks Kent, nice picture by the way). The day was gorgeous, adding to the beauty of the architecture. Jenny and Kent were really fun to take pictures for as they were up for anything! What a great day! Previews follow and you can see their picture show here.

Lisa and Mike

They got married on one of the unbelievably hot days we had. They had a really unique wedding theme which we loved! It was a 50's themed wedding. One of our favorite details was the polka-dotted wedding cake! Lisa and Mike were both soo nice and it was really fun being part of their wedding day. Even with the heat, they were willing to do anything to get great shots. Here are some previews:
