Lot's o' pictures taken!!!!!!

So, i was thinking today that over the past few years i have taken a lot of pictures. That got me wondering just how many. i knew it would be a lot. I was right. I downloaded a program that counts how many total frames my camera has taken....... the total count is:

143,150 images!!!!!

that's just for ONE camera!!!!
WOW!! so i imagine that if i were to inlcude all of my camera's over the past 7 years, i would be wellllllll over 200,000 images.
that would equal 78.28 pictures per day. No wonder i feel busy!

Bartram Family

Our friends Amy and Mike brought their two children (Megan and Jacob)to our studio to get pictures of their newborn son Jacob. We are very proud to be the god parents to Megan and soon to be for Jacob as well. It is such an honor that they would ask us. Here are some pics:

Matt and Kari maternity session....

We had the pleasure of capturing Matt and Kari's wedding and they've come back for more to have maternity pics taken. As always, we had so much fun with them and they were willing to let us do our thing. Now we can't wait until little Lena is born. We are looking forward to seeing your little girl guys!!! Here's some pics:

Matt made a wise crack......

Kari has taken yoga throughout her pregnancy and wanted to incorporate some yoga positions into their session. It was very cool and very artistic. Great idea Kari!! Here is my favorite one:

Change of command ceremony...

Yesterday was my bro-in-law's ceremony. It was pretty cool, but the
best part was that he received an unexpected award. He received the
meritorious service medal. As a BM1(his rank), this is EXTREMELY
rare!!!! We're definitely proud of his accomplishments. Congrats BM1
Blakeley!

out of office.......again!

Yep, this time i am in lovely La Jolla, California for a week. My brother-in-law, Patrick is the king of the castle at the coast guard guard station in San Diego. His tour of duty is up this week and he is transfering to michigan. So, they are having a change in command ceremony and party for him this friday and i flew out here to surprise him for the occasion. I couldn't post earlier about it, since, well, it was a surprise and he reads the blog. So, if any of you happen to be in the area, let me know and I'll take your pictures out here. It's an awesome area of the country for sure. It's too bad that california is going to break off and fall into the ocean someday.... just kidding. See you all next moday 8-)

Monday's rant.......

...... for such a civilized society, how is it that we have not legally banned the hustle!! Not only that, it has come to my attention that we actually perpetuate it by coming up with new songs to "hustle" too!! I realize that sometimes what is old is new again, but this is not one of those times. I may start giving a credit to those wedding couples who ban the hustle from their playlist. i don't want to punish those that don't , but i would like to reward those that do. That's it, it is official, if i show up to your wedding, and you have given the DJ a ban on the huslte, i will give you a $50 product credit!!!!!!! This is NOT a joke. It is now Orris Photography's bonus to you. You're welcome. It is your responsibility to tell us though. This is not an automatic discount.
